Hést – Forged from courage, loss and love

A brand born out of the unexpected

Hést was founded by three women – Anne-Kari Bøhaugen, Monica Helen Sundt Utne and Märtha Louise – who found each other through both loss and love. In 2019, Anne-Kari lost her husband, Esben Johannessen, to pancreatic cancer. He was not only her life partner, but also a dear friend of Märtha Louise. Out of that deep pain, something new emerged.

Monica had always carried a dream and a talent for designing clothes. As friends, the three began to imagine what it would be like to build something together – something beautiful, lasting and rooted in passion. What started as conversations about support quickly turned into action. And thus, Hést was created.

Hést has emerged from hard work, resilience and genuine passion – and stands as living proof of what can happen when women combine their talents, dreams and courage. The brand aims to inspire other women to free themselves, dare and live out their dreams.
