Laboratory Perfumes - Atlas - Eau de Toilette - 100ml

Nostalgia is a form of time travel for the emotions, and scent can be the most powerful way to trigger it. For Laboratory Perfumes, a whiff of pipe tobacco can be enough to evoke a flood of childhood memories in the hippocampus. So, when it came to deciding the foundation for our fifth fragrance, we chose something very personal – the earthy, aromatic tobacco note.

With the help of a knowledgeable, yet somewhat bewildered tobacconist, we sifted through dozens of different blends and curing processes in search of the right scent to build upon. The one we chose had a hint of the exotic, reminiscent of Morocco, so back in the lab, we introduced supporting layers of rum, vanilla, and hay, intensifying its North African character. Spiced with cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper, and complemented by the warm, woody aromas of fine cognac, the result is a complex and confident fragrance that reveals fascinating new layers and facets as the day progresses.
