The Selia MINI Vest is a soft and sweet teddy vest for children, featuring a single wooden button with an elastic loop at the front placket. The vest is made from a soft teddy fabric and is fully lined with block-printed cotton lining. All edges are trimmed with block-printed cotton tape.This item is made with handmade block printing, which is a traditional craft technique in India. Wooden blocks are hand-carved and used as stamps. The blocks, made from woods such as teak, plane, and pear, are hand-carved into a myriad of intricate designs. The blocks are dipped in dye and hand-pressed onto the fabric. This process is repeated until the length of the fabric is complete. Precision is required by the Indian artisans to ensure a perfect finish. No machines are involved in this printing technique, only human hands, which create small variations and imperfections, constituting the charm and uniqueness of this process.
