Sissel Edelbo - Suvanna Jacket - Blood Orange - Onesize

The Suvanna Jacket has a beautiful relaxed silhouette and is made from 100% organic cotton with an all-over block print. It has raglan sleeves and is lightly padded. The front placket is open and can be closed with two sets of jersey velvet ties. All internal seams have striped cotton tape. This item is made using handmade block printing, a traditional craft technique in India. Wooden blocks are hand-carved and used as stamps. The blocks, made from woods like teak, plane, and pear, are hand-carved into countless intricate designs. The blocks are dipped in dye and hand-pressed onto the fabric. This process is repeated until the length of the fabric is complete. Precision is required by the Indian artisans to ensure a perfect finish. No machines are involved in this printing technique, only human hands, which create small variations and imperfections, making up the charm and uniqueness of this process.
